From Goldberg redeeming himself against The Showoff to Seth Rollins fighting from underneath and slaying the Beast clean, there were a few highs throughout the night. On the other hand, there were a few lows during the event which saw an average match between two above-average superstars Ember Moon and Bayley, and Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston. After the end of the event, we are left with a few major questions from WWE and the creative team....

Heading into this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, Finn Balor lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view and was attacked the very next night on RAW by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. While it was initially hoped by some in WWE that the company would be able to have some fans in the audience in a safe capacity, this no longer appears to be the case. Jon Alba of the Living the Gimmick podcast recently tweeted that, as of right now, WWE is not planning on allowing fans to attend the Royal Rumble event. Alba went on to say that although plans do often change in the world of pro wrestling, the current understanding is that things will continue as they are in terms of WWE crowds for now....

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a set of six specific rules have been passed on to those who will be in attendance at The Grandest Stage of Them All. These rules range from simple instructions regarding the wearing of masks inside the stadium, to the legality of certain circumstances that may arise as a result of attending the event. Barcelona have recently hired former midfield general Xavi as their new manager following the sacking of Dutch tactician Ronald Koeman. The 41-year-old coach will now look to stamp his authority on the squad by signing new players. According to Mundo Deportivo, one of Xavi’s first agendas is to buy a new winger. Three players have been identified as potential signings, including Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Raheem Sterling. Dani Olmo was previously a Barcelona player but left to join Croatian side Dynamo Zagreb without making a first-team appearance....
