Things turned unpleasant when two fans taunted World Heavyweight title contender Roman Reigns with the ‘N word’ during his ring entrance. The youngsters were immediately checked by fellow fans. which didn’t go down well with the boys’ mother as she didn’t appreciate people confronting her sons.
This led to a skirmish between the mother of the boys and the other fans, the latter of whom were accused of taking pictures of the kids. Security stepped in before things got ugly and removed the family from the arena.
Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph “Joe” AnoaÊ»i, is of Italian and Samoan decent, which may have been the chief cause of the racist remarks directed towards the wrestler.
This attack follows closely in the heels of another attack in Puerto Rico on WWE US champion Alberto Del Rio, which turned physical and can be read in detail here.
