WWE WrestleMania 38 Day 2 Matches

Roman Reigns and Brooke Lesnar went head-to-head in WWE’s Winner-Takes-All Championship Unification.

Reigns is the ring name for American wrestler Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoaʻi, who has not lost a match since December 2019.

Also known as “Mad Dog”, he is the current and longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion in his second reign, as well as the current WWE Champion in his fourth reign—making him a double world champion.

His profile on WWE.com tells how Roman Reigns has a history of proving his naysayers wrong, “in the language of broken bodies and shattered Superstars who thought they had his number.”

The site adds: “Whether it was finishing opposing teams off as the enforcer of The Shield or steadily grinding his way toward the WWE Championship as a solo competitor, Reigns has made a lasting impression on anyone who’s come into contact with him.”

Fellow American pro Lesnar is regarded as one of the all-time greatest stars of the ring.

Lesnar is the only person to hold the primary heavyweight championships in WWE, Ultimate Fighting Championship and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

His WWE profile presents the wrestling star as the ultimate opponent, stating: “Glory to The Conqueror, The Beast Incarnate, The Anomaly or whatever godlike title you choose to bestow upon Brock Lesnar. Surely, this creature fits each and every one of them.

“Possessing the type of staggering strength and frightening intensity seen only among Superman villains, this 6-foot-3, 266-pound freak of nature from Minneapolis, Minn., has forced his way to the top of every major combat sport.”
