No specific reason was given for the suspension, but the Cincinnati Enquirer cited court documents that show Davis is facing multiple criminal charges involving his former girlfriend.

“Myles Davis is suspended indefinitely from all basketball-related activities,” Mack said. “Playing basketball for Xavier is a privilege, and we have high expectations for how our student-athletes represent our university. Unless Myles meets those expectations, he will not be a part of our program.”
Davis is a 6-2 guard and Xavier’s second-leading returning scorer (10.8 ppg) and assists leader (4.1 apg) who, according to the Enquirer, helped lift the Musketeers last season to a 28-6 record (14-4 Big East) with his leadership and vocal presence.
He is facing multiple charges related to separate incidents in separate municipalities involving him and his former girlfriend, who sought a protective order after the first incident in July. The second incident happened in mid-August.
Basketball practice starts in early October.
