Among the almost 300 games included in the upcoming backward compatible sale are Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Red Dead Redemption, Skate 3, and Grand Theft Auto 4. This is good news for Xbox One gamers, considering Black Ops 2 and GTA 4 just became backward compatible not too long ago.

Naturally, not every game in the same will be available for 75 percent off, but if history is any guide, gamers will look forward to some hefty discounts on some of the biggest Xbox 360 titles available. Also, Major Nelson didn’t provide an end date for the sale, so those interested in picking up any backward compatible games will want to act fast once the sale goes live on May 16th.

At the moment, gamers online seem fairly excited for the backward compatible sale. Many have already noted their plan to play through Red Dead Redemption via backward compatibility in preparation for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is expected to release later this year.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Xbox add new games to the backward compatible list going into the sale. When Xbox revealed the list of Spring Sale games last month, Black Ops 2 was included in the list. Many gamers noted at the time that the game wasn’t available on backward compatibility at the time, and it wasn’t long before Xbox boss Phil Spencer officially announced the game’s addition to the service.

There are still plenty of games that gamers are hoping to see added to Xbox’s backward compatibility list. While most of the top requests have already been added, there are still thousands of titles awaiting approval from their respective developers. Hopefully a few more of those will be approved over the next week or so, and included in the sale.

Xbox’s backward compatible games Super Sale begins on May 16, 2017.
