In this latest wave of new Game Pass additions, two games are Xbox One exclusive, two games are PC exclusive, and two are shared between both platforms. The two Xbox One games are, as mentioned, Resident Evil 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5. The two shared games are the Killer Instinct Definitive Edition and The Banner Saga 3. PC Game Pass subscribers get For the King and the indie game Night Call.
The first of these six games, Night Call, will launch tomorrow, the game’s release day. The other games will release across the next two Thursdays:
Night Call - PC - June 17 Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain - Xbox One - June 18 The Banner Saga 3 - PC and Xbox One - June 18 For the King - PC and Xbox One - June 25 Killer Instinct Definitive Edition - PC and Xbox One - June 25 Resident Evil 4 - Xbox One - June 25
July’s range of new Game Pass games are impressively diverse, from fighting games to strategy games. PC subscribers may be left a little cold seeing both Resident Evil 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5 go Xbox One only, but maybe PC will be rewarded in turn next month.
In addition to the six new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, subscribers are also being offered access to the newly announced Gears 5 Tech Test. This is the first time Gears 5 is being made available to play outside of conventions. Interested Game Pass subscribers, on both PC and Xbox One, can search “Gears 5” and preload the multiplayer Tech Test starting July 17. The multiplayer tech test itself will last from July 19 at 10:00 am PT through July 22 at 10:00 am PT. A second test will also run from July 26 through July 29. The test is exclusively available to Game Pass subscribers and Gears 5 pre-orderers.
That’s all that’s included in this round of new Xbox Game Pass content. Expect even more news after July 25, as a new wave of games gets scheduled for release the week of August 1 and beyond. Potential new subscribers can join now and get three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox One and PC, for just $1.
