Of course, in the meantime, the boat keeps sailing. Xbox Game Pass has already added a couple of games this month, namely For Honor: Marching Fire Edition and Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, and now it’s added a handful more for June 7. In total, it adds four new games today which is a nice bump from one day’s worth of releases.

At a glance, these new Xbox Game Pass titles are Assassin’s Creed Origins, Chorus, Disc Room, and Spacelines from the Far Out. The cool thing here is how each of these Xbox Game pass titles encompass different genres and styles, really making it a smorgasbord. The first game mentioned above is the first open-world RPG in the long-running franchise, which finds itself as a nice centerpiece between the old and new styles. Furthermore, Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on Game Pass alongside a new Xbox Series X upgrade (as well as PS5) for 60 FPS.

Meanwhile, Chorus is a unique space shooter where players, alongside their sentient starship, try to destroy a cult. Its combination of dogfighting-style gameplay with unique powers makes the gameplay really soar. Disc Room is a roguelike puzzle survival game where players have to navigate rooms filled with deadly disc-based traps, and Spacelines from the Far Out is a co-op simulator where players must manage an airline through space.

It’s possible Xbox Game Pass reveals more games for later this month relatively soon, including between now and the showcase. It’s looking a little barren, but it’s also likely saving some new game reveals for the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. As it stands, the only other games announced for this month include Shadowrun Trilogy (June 21) and Escape Academy (June 28).

Subscribers should also be aware that Xbox Game Pass is losing 5 games on June 15. These titles include Darkest Dungeon, Dungeons and Dragons Dark Alliance, GreedFall, Limbo, and Worms Rumble. If anyone wants to play these before they’re gone, it’s recommended they check them out ASAP.

Of course, many are looking forward to big games like Redfall and Starfield releasing on Xbox Game Pass, but the service is chock full of games fans may otherwise never try. The Xbox Game Pass additions for June 21 could be just that for those who have never played it before, the Shadowrun Trilogy and Total War: Three Kingdoms.

The Shadowrun Trilogy releases on all major platforms today, with it coming as a day one release on Game Pass for PC and Xbox. Because it is a trilogy, that means fans are technically getting three day one games today. Shadowrun is a unique tactical RPG series, set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe where magic has returned. In short, it’s a little bit of Cyberpunk mixed with high fantasy, creating a unique tone that meshes well.

The three games that are part of this include Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun Hong Kong – Extended Edition. The first game is set in Seattle as players hunt a mysterious killer from its slums to its megacorps. The second one explores the mystery of Dragonfall, where German soldiers defeated a powerful dragon (taking four months to do so), but it seems that the dragon may not be gone. The final one drags players into a world of “conspiracy, corporate greed, Triads, social segregation, and gang wars” as the police hunt the player.

PC Game Pass is also adding Total War: Three Kingdoms on June 21, a tactical empire-building game set in ancient China. Total War: Three Kingdoms features a strong, interesting, turn-based campaign with a focus on empire, statecraft, and conquest. Combined with Shadowrun Trilogy, fans are getting tactical games set in the past and future.

Luckily, of course, if someone is uninterested in Shadowrun Trilogy or Total War: Three Kingdoms for any reason whatsoever, there is still plenty on and coming to the service. Xbox Game Pass will add two games on June 23 – FIFA 22 and Naraka Bladepoint, with more coming later this month and in July.
