Original story follows.

One of the main selling points of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service is the fact that it regularly adds brand-new, day one releases for subscribers to check out. These day one releases include very first-party Xbox game that releases, but they also include some third-party games as well. The result is that Xbox Game Pass subscribers regularly have a healthy selection of new games to play all the time.

Microsoft has yet to reveal all the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in July 2022, but previous announcements have confirmed that at least four of those games will be day one releases. It’s quite likely that there will be even more new day one games added to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service next month when it’s all said and done, but for now, these are the four day one games that subscribers can look forward to checking out in July.

New Xbox Game Pass Games for July 2022

Far Cry 5 - July 1 Last Call BBS - July 5 Matchpoint Tennis Championships - July 7 Escape Academy - July 14 As Dusk Falls - July 19 Immortality - July 26

The four day one Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for July 2022 are Last Call BBS, Matchpoint Tennis Championships, As Dusk Falls, and Immortality. Last Call BBS is going to be a PC Game Pass-only game when it launches July 5. It has players interacting with a fictional machine called the Z5 Powerlance, made by the fictional company Zachtronics. The machine has a variety of its own games for players to complete, so it’s a situation of games-within-a-game. Last Call BBS will be an early access title when it hits Game Pass on July 5, so subscribers should keep that in mind.

A couple of days later on July 7, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out Matchpoint Tennis Championships, while As Dusk Falls hits Game Pass on July 19. As Dusk Falls is an interactive narrative game with co-op support where player choice can change the course of the story. Its striking art style has turned plenty of heads since its first reveal, and it will be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype come next month.

And finally, the last day one game confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in July 2022 is Immortality, the latest from Sam Barlow. Immortality is being marketed as more of a horror experience than Barlow’s previous games, but fans can expect similar FMV gameplay as Her Story and Telling Lies regardless.

Of course, there will be more games added to Xbox Game Pass in July 2022 beyond just day one releases. They haven’t all been announced yet, but we do know that Far Cry 5 will be one of them, scheduled to be added on July 1.
