Microsoft typically highlights the new Xbox Game Pass games each month in batches. The most likely scenario is that the full lineup for the first two weeks of December will be revealed around December 1, with the games coming in the second half of the month detailed around December 15. However, thanks to release dates being announced for day one Xbox Game Pass games and individual developers letting the cat out of the bag, subscribers already have a decent idea of what to expect from next month’s offerings.

To date, there are five new Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for December 2021. The lineup includes multiple day one Xbox Game Pass games, so subscribers will definitely be getting their money’s worth in December. Keep in mind that this is not a comprehensive list as Microsoft itself has yet to reveal all of the new Xbox Game Pass games for December 2021, but a full lineup should come sooner rather than later.
Xbox Game Pass December 2021 Games List
Lawn Mowing Simulator - December 2 Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector - December 2 Halo Infinite - December 8 Among Us - December 14 The Gunk - December 16
On December 2, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of at least two new games, with the possibility of more coming that haven’t been announced yet. What’s guaranteed though is the Xbox Game Pass debut of Lawn Mowing Simulator, a game that’s exactly what its name implies - a lawn mowing simulator. While the premise may not sound all that exciting on the surface, Lawn Mowing Simulator has earned some dedicated fans who find its gameplay to be fun and relaxing, and it really seems like the perfect kind of game for Xbox Game Pass. Anyone curious can soon give it a shot without making a big financial investment, and if they like it and want more, they can fork over the cash for the Ancient Britian DLC that’s dropping the same day.
December 2 will also see the Xbox Game Pass debut of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. Released earlier this year for PC, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is making its console debut as a day one Xbox Game Pass game. Set in the popular Warhammer universe, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a turn-based strategy game and should appeal to fans of the genre.
While Lawn Mowing Simulator and Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will have their fans, the headlining game for Xbox Game Pass in December is undoubtedly Halo Infinite. Xbox’s flagship title, the Halo Infinite multiplayer mode is out now and has been earning rave reviews. There are some who have been turned off by its progression, but most seem to be in agreement that the core gameplay is incredibly high quality.
Halo Infinite’s proper launch on December 8 will likely bring with it some multiplayer changes that hopefully address fan feedback. But the real exciting thing about the Halo Infinite Xbox Game Pass launch in December is that it will include the campaign mode. The Halo Infinite campaign is taking the series into some bold new directions, adopting a more open world-style approach while simultaneously trying to take the franchise back to its Halo: Combat Evolved roots with the atmosphere and art style.
Halo Infinite is taking some big risks, but that’s what makes it exciting. With the game originally intended to be an Xbox Series X launch title, Halo fans have been waiting a long time to get their hands on Halo Infinite, but the wait will soon be over thanks to Xbox Game pass.
A week after Halo Infinite releases for Xbox Game Pass, subscribers can check out the Xbox debut of Among Us. Yet another day one Xbox Game Pass game, Among Us is a social deducation game that was hugely popular last year during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among Us making its way to Xbox Game Pass may help the game get a second wind and introduce it to a wider audience of players, so it will definitely be interesting to see how its debut goes.
A couple of days after Among Us hits Xbox Game Pass, subscribers have yet another day one release to look forward to in the form of The Gunk. The Gunk is a third-person action-adventure game where players have to explore an alien planet and rid of it a deadly parasite. The game looks promising and is getting a native Xbox Series X release, which sould be exciting for owners of Microsoft’s next-generation console.
There will be many more games added to Xbox Game Pass in December, but these are the titles that have been confirmed so far. Xbox Game Pass subscribers should stay tuned to learn about the full lineup of Xbox Game Pass December 2021 games.
