The three new Xbox Game Pass games available today are Gorogoa, Olija, and The Pedestrian. Gorogoa is a critically-acclaimed, award-winning puzzle game whereas Olija and The Pedestrian are both well-received platformers. None of the games may be big budget blockbusters, but all three of them earned positive reviews from critics and should appeal to fans of their respective genres. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out all three games now.

Another three games are being added later this week. Embr and Outer Wilds are coming to Xbox Game Pass on January 6, with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition coming to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is being added as part of EA Play, so those with vanilla Xbox Game Pass won’t be able to access it.

Next week Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to Thursday, January 13, which will see the addition of Spelunky 2 and The Anacrusis to the lineup. Spelunky 2 earned rave reviews from critics and while it’s been available on other platforms for quite some time, it’s just now making its Xbox debut. The Anacrusis, meanwhile, is an early access co-op shooter game that looks similar to Left 4 Dead.
That sums up the Xbox Game Pass offerings for the first half of January, and while Microsoft has not revealed everything coming in the second half of the month, fans already know of at least two titles that will be added to the service. On January 20, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to two day one Xbox Game Pass games in the form of Pupperazzi and Windjammers 2, which will likely be joined by other titles that have yet to be announced.
In the meantime, there are some games leaving Xbox Game Pass in January 2022 as well, so fans should check those out while they still can.
