Two of the Xbox Game Pass games for March 2022 are available for subscribers to claim today, starting with day one game Far: Changing Tides. Far: Changing Tides has earned strong reviews from critics, so it should be a safe bet looking for a new game to play. The other new game added to Game Pass on March 1 has previously been available for PC and Xbox Series X, but it’s now playable through the Cloud as well. Cloud gamers can now check out the acclaimed Microsoft Flight Simulator with their Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Later this week on March 3, Xbox Game Pass will add Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 to the service. After Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 comes to Xbox Game Pass, it will mean that subscribers can play through the entire Final Fantasy 13 trilogy with their subscription.

New Xbox Game Pass Games for March 2022

Far: Changing Tides (Cloud/Console/PC) - March 1 Microsoft Flight Simulator (Cloud) - March 1 Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 (Console/PC) - March 3 Kentucky Route Zero (Cloud/Console/PC) - March 10 Lawn Mowing Simulator (Xbox One) - March 10 Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (Cloud/Console/PC) - March 10 Young Souls (Cloud/Console/PC) - March 10 Shredders - March 17 A Memoir Blue - March 24 Crusader Kings 3 - March 29 Weird West - March 31

March 10 seems like it’s going to be one of the biggest days for Xbox Game Pass in March, as four games are set to join the service that day. On March 10, the award-winning Kentucky Route Zero will be available for subscribers across cloud, console, and PC, and it will be joined by Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and day one game Young Souls, which is a co-op beat ’em up that used to be a Google Stadia exclusive. March 10 will also see the Xbox One version of Lawn Mowing Simulator come to Xbox Game Pass. It was previously slated for the service in February, but was delayed at the last minute.

That’s it for the games that Microsoft has confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in the first half of the month, but previous announcements have given fans an idea of what to expect in the second half of March. The second half of March 2022 may be even more exciting for Xbox Game Pass subscribers as it will include even more day one games, with four day one titles currently confirmed for the last two weeks of the month.

On March 17, snowboarding game Shredders is expected to release as a day one Xbox Game Pass game. Shredders was previously expected to launch in February 2022, but the game was quietly delayed. A week later, narrative-driven game A Memoir Blue from Annapurna Interactive will join the Xbox Game Pass lineup as a day one release.

Xbox Game Pass is ending March 2022 in big way with two games that have a ton of potential to be landmark releases for the service. On March 29, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out the console version of Crusader Kings 3 the very day that it comes out. Crusader Kings 3 is a grand strategy game that was previously PC exclusive. It earned rave reviews and is generally considered one of the better strategy games in recent years. Console gamers will be able to see what all the fuss is about starting March 29, and those on Xbox Game Pass will be able to check it out at a relatively low cost.

Then on March 31, Weird West will hit Xbox Game Pass as a day one game. Weird West is an action-RPG developed by WolfEye Studios, a studio comprised of former Arkane Studios developers who worked on games like Dishonored. Weird West has been turning heads since its initial reveal, and while it was originally supposed to launch in January, it now seems on track to hit its March 31 release date.

The four day one Xbox Game Pass games coming in the second half of March 2022 are really just the tip of the iceberg. Microsoft likely won’t reveal the full scope of all the new Xbox Game Pass games for the second half of the month until around March 15 or so, so subscribers should keep that in mind.
