To the uninitiated, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service was launched last August and combines the Xbox Game Pass with the Xbox Live Gold in one package. The Xbox Live Gold service is required to access most of the Xbox One’s online multiplayer functionality and provides 2-3 free games on a monthly basis. On the other hand, the Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft’s streaming service where players can access a wide library of games to play.

At the start of the new year, Microsoft revealed that Grand Theft Auto V will be the latest game to join the roster of titles available on the Xbox Game Pass. Players would be happy to know that GTA V on the Xbox Game Pass contains no limitations, and will include GTA V’s online multiplayer mode, and GTA Online. Of course, both the multiplayer mode and GTA Online requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which is why it is recommended for Xbox One players interested to stream GTA V to subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service.

Meanwhile, Microsoft recently unveiled January’s free games for players subscribed to Xbox Live Gold. Headlining the list of free games is Styx: Shards of Darkness for the Xbox One, which is available right now until January 31st. On the other hand, Tekken 6 for the Xbox 360 is also available now until January 15. The final two games that are coming on January 16 are Batman: The Telltale Series for the Xbox One, and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for the Xbox 360, which will be available until Feb 15, 2020, and Jan 31, 2020, respectively.
